Update - 2024. We're tentatively looking at having a gathering at the golf club on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, with the first tee time at 11:00 AM. This is just a casual day of golf, with anyone who would like to attend, and visit with the old gang. Since it's not a tournament, it's just green fees, and groups of 4 going out on the course. No shotgun start. Keep watching this space, as we'll try and keep it up to date. (For those that are old enough, we can reminisce about the Apollo 11 moon landing, 55 years ago on that day!) 

The Jim Davenport Charity Tournament will no longer be scheduled as a regular golf tournament at the Wynyard Golf club.
 

In July of 2023, the 32nd annual tournament raised $760 for the Canadian Blood Services Stem Cell Registry (formerly known as the bone marrow registry).
 

The Davenport Charity Tournament has raised over $40,000 for the Red Cross, since it's inception, and has been a big part of funding for their blood programs.
 

The tournament won't appear on the Wynyard Golf Club calendar of events, but there is likely a chance that we'll set aside one day, in July, to get together, for anyone interested in coming out to golf, and enjoy the day.

We can call it "Friends Of Jim Davenport Day", or whatever, and it will be an opportunity  for fans of the tournament to get together for the day, and do some "casual" golf.
 

There will be more news posted here, as we get closer to summer, so keep your calendars open, if you're interested.
